Uh...not so good. As far as I can recall, the problem with this squad was lack of a quality offensive line. Particularly up the middle (i.e. center and one of the guards).
Any retorts? :)

Yea, but they won states in the early 2000s (2001?). This further proves my thesis about the 86 class being the low watermark at Chanel. Having said that, I think it also produced a crop of very interesting people who knew how to have fun...you know how poor people tend to be very creative? Same thing....sort of.

I am glad someone from our class is stepping up to the plate to get everyone connected again. I live out of town and will do my best to show up to hang w/ everyone. I know your not the only one stepping up, but for all involved in this, keep it up and "Go Birds!"

It's been really fun. I think 20 years is an important landmark...we just had to do something. Everyone's really busy but doing this has given us a chance to hang out way more than usual...and you're right, several guys are helping.

-There was nothing wrong with this squad! As I recall going into the last game of the season,(where we beat State contender Hoban)our motto was "1 and 8 & feeling great"! Pat Vanderbilt remembers!

-Russ can not take credit for a teams' 8-2 record if he did contribute to the team. However, he can sign autographs for all the Matrix hits that made the charts.
-Yes, Desales is in Columbus and we beat them at their homecoming the year before with half of the guys from the class of "86"...Kennedy and Madden to name a few!
